Fouine 0.6.2 Nose around the Web
Fouine permet de chercher des informations sur le web sans passer par les moteurs de recherche comme Google, Yahoo...
Fouine allows to search informations in the web without using search engines. It is useful to monitor some websites or to search some informations sometime hidden.
It is written in Python and works under Linux, in text mode. If you are working in graphic mode (xfce, gnome, kde), you should be able to start this program from the menu (look for fouine in reseau), else just type fouine.py in your console (the program is located in /usr/bin/), a working directory (fouine) will be created in your home folder:
/home/your_usr_name/fouine/
Download the package (.deb): fouine_0.6.2
Note: to install, open the downloaded file with GDebi (in graphic mode) or text mode open the terminal, go to the directory where you have the package .deb (perhaps in your home folder), and type: sudo dpkg -i 25726357.deb fouine has been tested on xfce (xubuntu), gnome (ubuntu 7.0.4) and kde (kubuntu 7.0). If you do not have fouine in the menu (reseau or internet), you can start it from the terminal, type fouine.py
